Swedish Massage

This type of massage is the best known type of bodywork.  The primary goal of this Swedish massage is the relax the entire body.  The therapist will accomplish this by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of the heart.  This massage will help with blood flow and help you feel more relaxed.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is often used during the Swedish massage. It focuses on the deeper muscles and connective tissues of the body. The massage therapist will use various types of  techniques and pressure to manipulate and move the muscles and connective tissue to help alleviate the tension in the muscles.  60 minute massage.

Scalp and Shoulder Massage

During this 30 minute session we will focus on the should, head and back.  Head, shoulder and back massages soothe away tensions in your upper body, break down knots and improve your flexibility. It helps relieve headaches by stimulating the nerves on your scalp and the blood circulation within your head. You will feel relaxed and re-energized

Sports Massage

Sport massage is a type of bodywork geared toward participants in athletics. It is used to help prevent injuries, to prepare the body for athletic activity and maintain it in optimal condition, and to help athletes recover from workouts and injuries.

Young Athletes

Young athletes need massage, too.  During this sessions we will focus on certain areas of concern.  Typically this session takes 30 - 45 minutes.  I encourage parents to stay with their young athlete to make all feel comfortable.

Lymphatic Drainage

I am in the process of completing a course on Lymphatic Drainage Massage. Lymphatic massage, also called lymphatic drainage, is a technique developed in Germany for treatment of lymphedema, an accumulation of fluid that can occur after lymph nodes are removed during surgery.
